Background 
My name is Geoffrey Brooks. My professional career has been focused on research into High Temperature Processing. In particular, I have been active in research into steelmaking, aluminium production, magnesium production and treatment of metallurgical wastes. I have also published some papers on education and aspects of Astrophysics, as part of my academic career. As a University teacher, I have lectured in Materials Processing, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Design and Mathematics. In my private life I have also been active in poetry and music. I have published a number of poems and penned several songs. In addition to these activities, I have written various journalistic pieces and given a number of invited speeches. This website is designed to provide a central place from which links to various online repositories of my various papers, publications and clips can be accessed.
